Curiositas, the Latin equivalent to “curiosity”, is used to imply an excessive eagerness for knowledge. In the video, an excerpt from The Golden Ass by Lucius Apuleius is cut into small pieces and thrown into the blender with ice cream and milk. This part of the text depicts how the insatiable desire to learn magic turns the protagonist into a donkey. An extract from Harvard Business Review, “Curiosity Is as Important as Intelligence”, is also blended into the milkshake as a counterpoint to the pessimistic vision of curiosity in The Golden Ass.
