In Advance of A Biting Wasp – A Survival Guide for TA Residents (2017)

Terrace Apartments are a group of residential houses on Vassar’s campus, where nature provides fine scenery for students but a home for pests. Residents often suffer from the frequent yet uninvited visits by wasps during summertime.

In Advance of A Biting Wasp – A Survival Guide for TA Residents, through spatial analysis, aims to study the typical confrontation with a wasp in these apartments. The first part of the project presents an architecture diagram that depicts residents’ movement pattern and its relation to the existing space. The second part takes the form of a graphic novel, in which I provide two escape routes for TA residents in advance of the biting wasp.
